• File metadata (file name, size, and type) required to deliver uploads and downloads. We do not inspect the contents of private files unless required by law.

We only use the collected data to operate and improve Aplod. Specifically, we:

• Authenticate users, deliver file-sharing features, and personalise the dashboard experience.
• Monitor suspicious behaviour, block malware, and respond to copyright or policy reports.
• Send essential service messages such as verification, security alerts, and system notices. Marketing updates are optional and can be unsubscribed from.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Trusted service providers may process information on our behalf (for example, hosting infrastructure) under strict confidentiality agreements.

3. Your control & retention

You can update account information or delete files from the dashboard at any time. When you close your account we remove personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except when retention is required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.

4. Responsibility for uploaded content

You remain fully responsible for the files you upload or share. By using Aplod you agree not to upload content that:

• Violates copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
• Contains illegal, malicious, or harmful software (including viruses, ransomware, or spyware).
• Promotes violence, terrorism, hate speech, or any activity prohibited by Indonesian law.
• Includes sensitive personal data without the explicit consent of the data subject.

Public files that break these rules or applicable laws may be removed without notice. Repeat violations can result in suspension or termination.

5. Public content & legal requests

Files marked as public may be indexed and accessed through public links. Aplod may review and remove public files when we receive credible complaints or takedown notices from authorities, rights holders, or affected individuals. We comply with valid legal requests while protecting user privacy whenever possible.

6. Data security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards such as encrypted connections, role-based access, and routine reviews. No online service is completely risk-free, so we recommend using strong passwords and keeping your devices secure.

7. Children’s privacy

Aplod is not designed for children under 13 years old. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. When we make material changes we will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continuing to use Aplod after updates take effect means you accept the revised policy.
