Terms of Service

Terms that keep Aplod safe and fair

These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you use Aplod. By creating an account or uploading a file you agree to the terms below. If you disagree, please stop using the service.

1. Acceptance & eligibility

Aplod is provided by PT Aplod Digital Indonesia for personal and business use in Indonesia. You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a binding agreement. If you access Aplod on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these terms.

2. Your Aplod account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@aplod.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Permitted use

Aplod lets you store, share, and collaborate on digital files. You may only use the platform for lawful purposes and agree not to:

  • Upload, host, or transmit files that infringe intellectual property rights, contain malware, or violate Indonesian law.
  • Share content that promotes fraud, scams, hate speech, harassment, or violence.
  • Misuse the service to send spam, run phishing campaigns, or disrupt other users.
  • Bypass security controls, use unauthorised automation, or reverse engineer the platform.

4. Ownership & intellectual property

You retain ownership of the files you upload. By storing a file on Aplod you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and deliver it as needed to provide the service. Our trademarks, branding, software, and documentation remain the property of Aplod and cannot be copied without written consent.

5. Responsibility for content

You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and integrity of your content. Ensure you have the rights and permissions to share each file. While we do not monitor private files, we may review public content or metadata to handle takedown requests, law enforcement enquiries, or suspected abuse. Public files that violate these terms or Indonesian law may be removed without notice.

6. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create security risks, or harm other users. We may also remove content or limit features to meet legal obligations or protect the community. You can close your account at any time and we will handle stored data according to the Privacy Policy.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Aplod running 24/7, but maintenance, network issues, or force majeure events may interrupt the service. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, yet we will communicate major incidents via our status page.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Aplod is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Aplod, its directors, employees, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) during the previous twelve months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aplod from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

10. Governing law & dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Indonesian law. Disputes will be settled in the courts of Jakarta unless we mutually agree on another method. Consumers may seek assistance from authorities such as Kominfo or the National Consumer Protection Agency (BPKN).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for product improvements or legal reasons. We will notify registered users about material changes via email or service announcements. Continuing to use Aplod after revisions means you accept the new terms.

12. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, email support@aplod.co. We aim to respond within one business day.
